STEP Enrollment
All students participating in an education abroad program through EWU are required to enroll in the U.S. Department of State Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP). This is a free service for U.S. citizens traveling abroad. After enrollment, you are registered with the U.S. Department of State and will receive updates on safety information about where you are traveling. STEP also allows the State Department to reach out to you in the event of an emergency (e.g. natural disaster, civil unrest, family emergency back home).
